Todd Goodwin's volleyball roots are right here in North County. He played junior club volleyball in San Diego and was a Rancho Bernardo High School standout, graduating in 1995. He also played for one year at Palomar College.
Todd has been coaching for 11 years in both San Diego and most recently in Northern California in the Stockton area. He coached for Club Stockton (2008-2011) and Lincoln High School (2006-2011) before relocating back to his home town. Todd was named San Joaquin County "High School Coach of the Year" in 2011, while leading Lincoln High School to 4 consecutive League titles (2007-2011). Todd was also the coach for the Northern California High Performance boys Youth and Select teams.
Before moving to Stockton, Todd was the Boys Head Coach at Rancho Bernardo High School where led his team to the CIF finals in 2005. Before coaching at Rancho Bernardo, Todd was the assistant Varsity coach at Valley Center High School (2003-2005). Todd also coached the Boys and Girls programs at Epic. Since moving back to San Diego Todd has been the Poway freshman coach and Varsity assistant as well as the JV boys coach and Varsity assistant at Torrey Pines, while coaching the girls 17-2 team here at Epic.
Todd has a BA from San Diego State University in International Security & Conflict Resolution and obtained his teaching credential in social sciences from Cal State San Marcos. He is currently a History teacher.
When not in the gym, Todd enjoys his free time with his wife Gina and their three children; boys Gianni, Nicco and daughter Giuliana.
