Coach Bios

Rachael is a graduate of Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee, WA. where she played Varsity Volleyball and Basketball.

She continued her Volleyball career at Seattle Pacific University as a middle blocker. Rachael received both athletic and academic honors, and earned a B.A. in Physical Education and Health. She earned a Masters Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Psychology at San Diego State University. Her research focus was effective goal setting and performance enhancements techniques and strategies.

Rachael began her coaching career at Rancho Bernardo High School in
2004 where she was the Boys Varsity assistant. She then became the
Boys and Girls Varsity assistant. She served as an Varsity assistant and JV coach for the Boys in 2006. In 2007 Rachael became the Boys
Varsity Head Coach, and led her team to a League Title, as well as the CIF Division I championship match. In 2008, her Broncos were once again ranked in the top 4 for CIF Division I high schools. 2009 brought more excitement as her Broncos finished undefeated in the Palomar League and once again found themselves in the CIF Division I finals.

Rachel has coached various programs at Epic over the years. She coached a local girl's team in 2006, and assisted the
Boys 18-Jeff team in 2007, and was the head coach of the 17-Rachael team in 2008 and 2009. In the 2012 season, Rachel was the head coach for your Boys 14's team.

In addition to her coaching duties, Rachael is also a Sport Psychology
consultant and licensed in Educational Kinesiology. She is also an adjunct professor for National University in their Sport Psychology Department. She teaches at UCSD in their academic connections program. Rachael brings a comprehensive perspective to coaching that combines her playing experience, knowledge of the game, and her understanding of how to enhance her athletes mental game. Rachael's goal is to help elevate her athletes to greater levels of success.

Rachel is married to Jeremy and has three children, a daughter, Miriam, a two boys, Isaac and Andrew.
